Call – God calls sinners out of the world by the preaching of the gospel. The Holy Spirit converts those called by grace from dead idols to the living God.
Confession – God our Savior forgives sinners. Converts acknowledge their sin-guilt, turn away from sin towards God, and confess faith in Christ.
The Law convicts us of our sin-guilt, but the Gospel comforts us with grace and peace.
Consecration – God’s people are sanctified for his purposes by water-baptism, sound teaching, and training for works of service. In this way, God prepares his people for mission and worship.
Communion – God provides his people with everything they need for life and godliness, including spiritual food and drink at the Lord’s Table. The people of God enjoy fellowship with the triune Savior and his people.
Commission – God sends his saved people out into world-culture to seek and save the lost. We are on mission with Jesus to take the cross to the culture and proclaim the gospel of grace to all people.
